Cordyline australis 'Lime Passion' – Planting & Care Guide
About Cordyline australis 'Lime Passion'
Cordyline australis 'Lime Passion', commonly known as Cabbage Palm 'Lime Passion', is a striking evergreen architectural plant prized for its vibrant lime-green, sword-shaped foliage. Its bright, fresh colour provides a stunning contrast against darker plants and remains attractive throughout the year, making it an excellent focal point in both contemporary and traditional gardens.
With its upright, fountain-like habit, 'Lime Passion' forms a compact clump before gradually developing a slender trunk as it matures. It typically reaches 2–3 metres tall with a spread of 1–1.5 metres. Mature plants may produce large panicles of fragrant creamy-white flowers during summer, followed by small white berries.

- Dig a planting hole twice the width of the root ball and the same depth.
- Position the root ball level with the surrounding soil.
- Backfill, firm gently and water thoroughly.
- Apply a layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture, keeping it away from the stem.
