From the very beginning, Dermot and Mary set the tone: hardworking, creative, and always ready with a smile (and maybe a cup of tea!). Over the years, our team has grown, but one thing has never changed – we treat every customer as part of our extended family.

You’ll often spot Dermot, still affectionately called “Miley” by long-time customers, happily chatting away about plants or sharing one of his famous stories. Mary, with her warm welcome and incredible talent for cooking, makes sure our restaurant feels like a home away from home – where everything is fresh, local, and served with love.

Alongside them, you’ll find a dedicated group of staff who share the same passion for gardening, creativity, and community. Some are plant experts who can help you pick the perfect rose or tomato seedling, while others are design lovers who bring style and inspiration to our shop displays. A few of us are still learning, but we learn together – because that’s what family does.
