About Osteospermum 'Señoritas'® Mix

Osteospermum 'Señoritas'® Mix, commonly known as the African Daisy, is a premium collection of compact, free-flowering plants that produce masses of vibrant daisy-like blooms in a beautiful mix of colours, including white, pink, purple, lilac, yellow and bi-coloured shades. Bred for exceptional garden performance, the Señoritas® series is known for its long flowering season, weather resistance and compact, well-branched habit.

Flowering continuously from late spring until the first frosts, these colourful plants grow to approximately 25–40cm tall with a spread of 30–45cm. Their bright flowers open fully in sunshine and are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinating insects. Ideal for borders, containers, window boxes and hanging baskets, they provide reliable colour throughout the summer months.

Planting Guide

• Plant in full sun for the best flowering display.
• Choose a warm, sheltered position with good air circulation.
• Prefers fertile, well-drained soil.
• Suitable for loam, sandy and chalky soils.
• Improve heavy clay soils by incorporating compost and horticultural grit before planting.
• Dig a planting hole twice the width of the root ball and the same depth.
• Carefully remove the plant from its container and gently loosen the roots.
• Position the root ball level with the surrounding soil surface.
• Backfill with soil, firm gently and water thoroughly.
• Apply a light layer of mulch around the base, keeping it away from the stems.
• Space plants approximately 30–40cm apart for a full, colourful display.

Osteospermum 'Señoritas'® Mix is easy to grow and flowers continuously with regular care.

• Water regularly during the first growing season.
• Once established, water during prolonged dry periods.
• Allow the soil surface to dry slightly between watering.
• Avoid prolonged waterlogging.
• Feed every 2–3 weeks during the growing season with a high-potash liquid fertiliser.
• Apply a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring.
• Remove weeds regularly from around the plants.
• Water container-grown plants more frequently during hot weather.
• Ensure containers have good drainage.

Pruning

Regular maintenance encourages prolonged flowering.

• Deadhead faded flowers regularly to encourage continuous blooming.
• Lightly trim plants if they become leggy during the season.
• Remove any damaged or yellowing leaves.
• Pinch out young shoots early in the season to encourage bushier growth.

The in-Store delivery charge will vary compared with online, in-store delivery charge is done on a case by case basis.

Live Plants Delivery

Our live plants are packed with care and diligence by our staff, our horticulturists review each plant before despatch to ensure quality is maintained.
Live Plant delivery charges are not calculated on weight but on the space required per package to ensure safe delivery, so delivery charges may vary as some plants require more space than others when packed.
All live plants are despatched within 3-5 working days where possible, our couriers aim to deliver within 48 hours of despatch from our Garden Centre to allow the plant to arrive in healthy condition.

Can’t wait for delivery? Why not try our FREE Click & Collect service? Simply make your purchase online and collect it from our store located in Croagh Co. Limerick. Our staff will contact you by phone when your order is ready for collection (Please allow 24 hours minimum). When collecting your item, call the store on 069-64084. We will then load into your car as required. This service is available in-store 9am – 6pm Monday – Saturday (No collections on Sundays)
