• Features glossy variegated foliage in green edged with creamy white and soft pink tones.

• New growth emerges flushed bright pink to red, creating strong seasonal contrast.

• Produces clusters of small creamy-white flowers in late spring if left unpruned.

• Maintains year-round structure and colour.

Planting & Positioning

• Plant in full sun or partial shade.

• Best foliage colour develops in a bright, sunny position.

• Prefers fertile, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter.

• Avoid prolonged waterlogging, especially in winter.

• Choose a sheltered position protected from strong winds.

• Dig a hole twice as wide as the rootball and the same depth.

• Plant at the same depth as it was growing in the container.

• Stake securely to support the clear stem if planting in open ground.

• Ensure the frame is positioned evenly and securely for balanced growth.

Photinia performs well in sheltered gardens and urban settings.

Watering, Feeding & Flowering

• Water regularly during the first growing season to establish roots.

• Keep soil evenly moist but not waterlogged.

• Once established, plants are moderately drought tolerant.

• Feed in early spring with a balanced fertiliser to encourage fresh colourful growth.

• A second light feed in early summer can support strong foliage.

• Flowering may occur in late spring if not heavily clipped.

Pruning, Maintenance & General Care

• Trim lightly 1–2 times during the growing season to maintain the framed shape.

• Pruning encourages fresh pink-red growth.

• Avoid cutting into the clear stem unless removing damaged growth.

• Remove any shoots emerging from the stem below the crown.

• Mulch annually to conserve moisture and improve soil structure.

• Protect from severe frost in colder areas.

Live Plants Delivery

Our live plants are packed with care and diligence by our staff, our horticulturists review each plant before despatch to ensure quality is maintained.
Live Plant delivery charges are not calculated on weight but on the space required per package to ensure safe delivery, so delivery charges may vary as some plants require more space than others when packed.
All live plants are despatched within 3-5 working days where possible, our couriers aim to deliver within 48 hours of despatch from our Garden Centre to allow the plant to arrive in healthy condition.
 

Click & Collect

Can’t wait for delivery? Why not try our FREE Click & Collect service? Simply make your purchase online and collect it from our store located in Croagh Co. Limerick. Our staff will contact you by phone when your order is ready for collection (Please allow 24 hours minimum). When collecting your item, call the store on 069-64084. We will then load into your car as required. This service is available in-store 9am – 6pm Monday – Saturday (No collections on Sundays)
