Planting & Position

• Light:

  • Prefers full sun for the strongest flowering.

  • Will tolerate light partial shade, but flowering may be reduced.

• Soil:

  • Thrives in moist, fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost or well-rotted manure.

  • Avoid waterlogged ground.

  • Works beautifully in rose beds, mixed borders, and large containers.

• Spacing:

  • Space approx. 90–100 cm from other plants or roses to allow good air circulation.

• Planting time:

  • Plant container roses at any time of year.

  • Bareroot plants (if supplied) should be planted Nov–Mar.

Care & Maintenance

• Watering:

  • Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season.

  • Once established, water weekly in dry periods, especially in summer.

• Feeding:

  • Feed in early spring with a specialist rose fertiliser.

  • Apply a second feed in mid-summer to encourage repeat flowering.

• Mulching:

  • Mulch in spring with compost or well-rotted manure to retain moisture and build soil health.

• Pruning:

  • Prune in late winter/early spring (Feb–March).

  • Remove dead, weak, or crossing stems.

  • Trim remaining stems by around one-third to shape the shrub.

  • Deadhead spent blooms regularly to encourage repeat flowers.

• Disease resistance:

  • Generally very good.

  • Ensure good spacing and avoid overhead watering to reduce blackspot risk.

Seasonal Interest & Uses

• Flowers:

  • Soft peach-apricot, beautifully cupped blooms with a glowing centre.

  • Repeat flowers from June to October.

• Fragrance:

  • Light to medium tea scent, warm and pleasant.

• Foliage & habit:

  • Bushy, rounded shrub approx. 1.1 m tall x 1 m wide.

  • Clean, healthy foliage for a tidy appearance.

• Best uses:

  • Mixed borders

  • Cottage gardens

  • Rose beds

  • Feature planting near patios or paths

  • Cut flowers (excellent vase life)

• Wildlife:

  • Flowers attract bees and beneficial pollinators.

Live Plants Delivery

Our live plants are packed with care and diligence by our staff, our horticulturists review each plant before despatch to ensure quality is maintained.
Live Plant delivery charges are not calculated on weight but on the space required per package to ensure safe delivery, so delivery charges may vary as some plants require more space than others when packed.
All live plants are despatched within 3-5 working days where possible, our couriers aim to deliver within 48 hours of despatch from our Garden Centre to allow the plant to arrive in healthy condition.

Can’t wait for delivery? Why not try our FREE Click & Collect service? Simply make your purchase online and collect it from our store located in Croagh Co. Limerick. Our staff will contact you by phone when your order is ready for collection (Please allow 24 hours minimum). When collecting your item, call the store on 069-64084. We will then load into your car as required. This service is available in-store 9am – 6pm Monday – Saturday (No collections on Sundays)
