• Tulipa Mix (H&G) is a colourful blend of spring-flowering tulip bulbs.

• Produces a vibrant combination of shades, often including reds, yellows, pinks, purples, and whites.

• Flowers typically appear in mid to late spring depending on the mix.

• Strong upright stems carry classic cup-shaped blooms.

• Height generally ranges from 30–60 cm, depending on the varieties included.

Planting & Positioning

• Plant in full sun for the best flowering display.

• Tolerates light partial shade.

• Prefers well-drained soil and does not tolerate winter waterlogging.

• Improve heavy soils with grit or sand before planting.

• Plant bulbs in autumn, typically from September to November.

• Plant bulbs at a depth approximately three times their height (usually 10–15 cm deep).

• Space bulbs 8–12 cm apart for a full display.

• Ideal for borders, raised beds, containers, and naturalistic planting schemes.

Tulips perform best in open, sunny positions with good drainage.

Watering, Feeding & Flowering

• Water after planting to help settle the soil.

• During active growth in spring, keep soil moderately moist.

• Avoid overwatering, especially in winter.

• Feed in early spring with a balanced fertiliser as shoots emerge.

• A second light feed after flowering can support bulb development for the following year.

• Flowering typically occurs in mid to late spring.

• Remove spent flowers to prevent seed formation and conserve bulb energy.

Good sunlight and moderate feeding promote strong blooms.

Pruning, Maintenance & General Care

• Deadhead flowers once they fade.

• Allow foliage to die back naturally before removing, as this helps feed the bulb for next year.

• Lift and store bulbs in summer if soil is heavy or poorly drained.

• Alternatively, leave bulbs in the ground in well-drained soil for naturalising.

• Protect emerging shoots from slugs and snails.

• Replace bulbs every few years if flowering declines.

Standard Delivery is FREE on orders over €250*

All standard deliveries will be completed within 5-7 working days via Fastway Couriers, any delay to this delivery time, the customer will be notified by One of our staff.

The in-Store delivery charge will vary compared with online, in-store delivery charge is done on a case by case basis. 

* Only mainland Ireland addresses qualify for free delivery.
 

Live Plants Delivery

Our live plants are packed with care and diligence by our staff, our horticulturists review each plant before despatch to ensure quality is maintained.
Live Plant delivery charges are not calculated on weight but on the space required per package to ensure safe delivery, so delivery charges may vary as some plants require more space than others when packed.
All live plants are despatched within 3-5 working days where possible, our couriers aim to deliver within 48 hours of despatch from our Garden Centre to allow the plant to arrive in healthy condition.
 

Click & Collect

Can’t wait for delivery? Why not try our FREE Click & Collect service? Simply make your purchase online and collect it from our store located in Croagh Co. Limerick. Our staff will contact you by phone when your order is ready for collection (Please allow 24 hours minimum). When collecting your item, call the store on 069-64084. We will then load into your car as required. This service is available in-store 9am – 6pm Monday – Saturday (No collections on Sundays)
