Overview and Features

An Aloe – Haworthia Mix typically includes a variety of compact, drought-tolerant succulents from two popular genera: Aloe (small species and hybrids) and Haworthia. Both are well-suited for indoor environments, thriving with minimal care and adding structural interest to desks, shelves, and window sills.

These succulents are often grouped together due to their similar care needs and aesthetic compatibility, with thick, fleshy leaves arranged in rosettes or spiky columns, and often marked with spots, stripes, or textures.

• Includes species like Aloe juvenna, Aloe vera mini, Haworthia fasciata, H. attenuata, H. cooperi, and hybrids

• Compact size: typically 5–15 cm tall, ideal for small pots and mixed trays

• Some varieties produce tall flower spikes in spring or summer

Growing Conditions and Maintenance

Both Aloe and Haworthia are low-maintenance, thriving on neglect if provided with proper light and drainage. Their shared needs make them ideal companions in mixed arrangements.

• Light Requirements:

  • Prefer bright, indirect light indoors

  • Can tolerate some direct morning or filtered sun

  • Avoid low light or north-facing rooms, which may cause stretching

• Watering:

  • Water only when the soil is fully dry—typically every 2–3 weeks

  • Reduce watering to once a month in winter

  • Avoid overwatering: both genera are prone to root rot

• Soil and Potting:

  • Use a well-draining cactus/succulent mix

  • Ensure pots have drainage holes

  • Repot every 2–3 years or when rootbound

• Temperature and Humidity:

  • Thrive at 18–24°C indoors

  • Tolerate occasional dry air—no misting needed

  • Keep away from cold drafts or temperatures below 10°C

• Feeding:

  • Fertilise once a month in spring and summer with a diluted cactus fertiliser

  • Do not feed in winter

The in-Store delivery charge will vary compared with online, in-store delivery charge is done on a case by case basis.

Live Plants Delivery

Our live plants are packed with care and diligence by our staff, our horticulturists review each plant before despatch to ensure quality is maintained.
Live Plant delivery charges are not calculated on weight but on the space required per package to ensure safe delivery, so delivery charges may vary as some plants require more space than others when packed.
All live plants are despatched within 3-5 working days where possible, our couriers aim to deliver within 48 hours of despatch from our Garden Centre to allow the plant to arrive in healthy condition.
 

Click & Collect

Can’t wait for delivery? Why not try our FREE Click & Collect service? Simply make your purchase online and collect it from our store located in Croagh Co. Limerick. Our staff will contact you by phone when your order is ready for collection (Please allow 24 hours minimum). When collecting your item, call the store on 069-64084. We will then load into your car as required. This service is available in-store 9am – 6pm Monday – Saturday (No collections on Sundays)
