What it is:
Maxicrop Plus Sequestered Iron is a liquid plant growth stimulant which combines a pure seaweed extract with readily available, sequestered iron (approx. 2 % w/w) to help correct and prevent iron deficiency (chlorosis) in plants. It is especially useful for acid-loving plants (azaleas, rhododendrons, heathers) and in difficult soil conditions where plants struggle to take up iron. 

What it does

• Corrects iron deficiency (yellowing leaves while veins remain green) and helps restore healthy green foliage. 

• Enhances overall plant vitality: the seaweed extract supports root development, stress resistance and improved nutrient uptake. 

• Helps plants in challenging soils: e.g., alkaline soils, compacted soils or soils where iron becomes unavailable even when present. 

How to use

• When to apply: Use during the growing season when plants show signs of iron deficiency, or as a preventative feed in soils known to cause issues. 

• Application method: Dilute according to label instructions (e.g., mix specified ml per litre of water) and apply to the root area or as a foliar spray, ensuring good coverage. Always shake well before use. 

• Frequency: Follow label guidance – often applied every 4-6 weeks or as needed when deficiency recurs.

• Important tip: If soil is very alkaline, running a soil acidifier or choosing acid-loving plants helps maximise effectiveness.

When & where to use

• Ideal for acid-loving shrubs and plants such as azaleas, rhododendrons, heathers. 

• Also suitable for other shrubs, trees or ornamentals showing yellowing of leaves (especially in high-pH soils).

• Use in beds, borders, containers – suitable for both garden and patio use.

• Not a weedkiller or turf feed – strictly for correcting iron deficiency and promoting growth.

All standard deliveries will be completed within 5-7 working days via Fastway Couriers, any delay to this delivery time, the customer will be notified by One of our staff.

The in-Store delivery charge will vary compared with online, in-store delivery charge is done on a case by case basis.

Live Plants Delivery

Our live plants are packed with care and diligence by our staff, our horticulturists review each plant before despatch to ensure quality is maintained.
Live Plant delivery charges are not calculated on weight but on the space required per package to ensure safe delivery, so delivery charges may vary as some plants require more space than others when packed.
All live plants are despatched within 3-5 working days where possible, our couriers aim to deliver within 48 hours of despatch from our Garden Centre to allow the plant to arrive in healthy condition.

Can’t wait for delivery? Why not try our FREE Click & Collect service? Simply make your purchase online and collect it from our store located in Croagh Co. Limerick. Our staff will contact you by phone when your order is ready for collection (Please allow 24 hours minimum). When collecting your item, call the store on 069-64084. We will then load into your car as required. This service is available in-store 9am – 6pm Monday – Saturday (No collections on Sundays)
