Prunus incisa ‘Oshidori’ – A Dwarf Cherry with Delicate Blossom
The Prunus incisa ‘Oshidori’ is a compact ornamental cherry, admired for its profuse spring flowers and small size that makes it perfect for today’s smaller gardens. In early to mid-spring, it produces clouds of soft pink blossoms that light up the garden just as winter begins to fade. Its neat, upright growth habit ensures it doesn’t overwhelm its surroundings, making it well-suited to patios, small borders, and even containers.
In addition to its springtime display, ‘Oshidori’ provides seasonal interest with attractive green summer foliage and fiery tones of orange and red in autumn. Hardy, easy to grow, and low-maintenance, it’s a wonderful choice for gardeners looking to enjoy the magic of cherry blossom in a more manageable form.
