Alstroemeria Colorita® 'Claressa' is a compact and showy variety of Peruvian Lily from the Colorita® series, bred for long flowering, controlled height, and exceptional garden and patio performance. This variety features elegant creamy-white flowers with soft pink-blushed tips and golden-yellow throats marked with fine streaks, making it a striking addition to mixed borders, containers, or cut flower gardens.

Colorita® Alstroemeria are known for their neat, bushy habit, abundant blooms, and excellent repeat flowering from late spring through to the first frost.

Planting and Growing Conditions

Planting Tips

• For containers, use a peat-free multi-purpose compost mixed with grit for drainage

• Mulch lightly in spring to retain moisture and suppress weeds

Watering, Feeding, and Maintenance

Watering

• Water regularly in dry periods, especially during establishment and in containers

• Avoid letting the soil dry out completely but do not overwater

• Container-grown plants may need watering daily in hot spells

Feeding

• Feed every 2–4 weeks during the growing season with a high-potash fertiliser (e.g. tomato feed)

• Apply a slow-release fertiliser at the start of the season in beds or pots

Pruning and Deadheading

• Deadhead spent blooms by pulling the stem gently from the base to promote new flower spikes

• Avoid cutting stems with scissors as this can hinder regrowth

• In late autumn, cut back dead foliage to 5–10 cm above ground

Winter Care

• In milder regions, plants may remain semi-evergreen and overwinter in the ground

• In colder climates, mulch deeply in autumn or lift and store rhizomes in frost-free conditions

• Container plants can be moved to a cool, sheltered location for winter

Live Plants Delivery

Our live plants are packed with care and diligence by our staff, our horticulturists review each plant before despatch to ensure quality is maintained.
Live Plant delivery charges are not calculated on weight but on the space required per package to ensure safe delivery, so delivery charges may vary as some plants require more space than others when packed.
All live plants are despatched within 3-5 working days where possible, our couriers aim to deliver within 48 hours of despatch from our Garden Centre to allow the plant to arrive in healthy condition.
 

Click & Collect

Can’t wait for delivery? Why not try our FREE Click & Collect service? Simply make your purchase online and collect it from our store located in Croagh Co. Limerick. Our staff will contact you by phone when your order is ready for collection (Please allow 24 hours minimum). When collecting your item, call the store on 069-64084. We will then load into your car as required. This service is available in-store 9am – 6pm Monday – Saturday (No collections on Sundays)
