Aster ageratoides ‘Asran’ – A Reliable Perennial with Late-Season Colour
The Aster ageratoides ‘Asran’ is a hardy and easy-to-grow perennial that provides a stunning burst of colour late in the gardening season. From August to October, this compact variety produces masses of daisy-like flowers with lilac-blue petals and golden-yellow centres. These cheerful blooms are held above neat clumps of green foliage, bringing life to borders just when many other perennials are fading.
Unlike some asters, ‘Asran’ is mildew-resistant and reliable, making it a long-term favourite for both beginner and experienced gardeners. Its compact size, long-lasting blooms, and pollinator-friendly nature make it perfect for cottage gardens, mixed borders, and wildlife-friendly planting schemes.
