Aster × frikartii 'Mönch', now often classified as Symphyotrichum × frikartii 'Mönch', is one of the finest late-summer flowering perennials, valued for its masses of soft lavender-blue, daisy-like flowers with bright golden-yellow centres. • Plant in full sun for the best flowering display.
• Tolerates light partial shade, although flowering may be less prolific.
• Prefers fertile, well-drained soil.
• Suitable for loam, clay and sandy soils with good drainage.
• Improve poor soils with compost or well-rotted organic matter before planting.
• Dig a planting hole twice the width of the root ball and the same depth.
• Carefully remove the plant from its pot and gently loosen any circling roots.
• Position the crown level with the surrounding soil surface.
• Backfill with soil, firm gently and water thoroughly.
• Apply a 5–8cm layer of organic mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
• Space plants approximately 60–75cm apart to allow good air circulation.

Our live plants are packed with care and diligence by our staff, our horticulturists review each plant before despatch to ensure quality is maintained.
Live Plant delivery charges are not calculated on weight but on the space required per package to ensure safe delivery, so delivery charges may vary as some plants require more space than others when packed.
All live plants are despatched within 3-5 working days where possible, our couriers aim to deliver within 48 hours of despatch from our Garden Centre to allow the plant to arrive in healthy condition.
