Bergenia 'Bressingham White', commonly known as Elephant's Ears or Pigsqueak, is a robust evergreen perennial prized for its large, glossy green leaves and elegant clusters of pure white flowers that brighten the garden in early spring. The blooms are held on sturdy stems above the foliage, creating a striking contrast against the bold leaves.

The leathery foliage provides year-round structure and often develops attractive shades of bronze, burgundy and purple during autumn and winter, adding further seasonal interest. Growing to approximately 30–40cm tall (up to 45–50cm in flower) with a spread of 45–60cm, 'Bressingham White' forms dense clumps that are ideal for borders, woodland gardens, ground cover and containers.

Planting Guide

• Plant in full sun, partial shade or full shade.
• Partial shade is ideal, particularly in warmer or drier locations.
• Prefers fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil.
• Suitable for loam, clay and sandy soils enriched with organic matter.
• Dig a planting hole twice the width of the root ball and the same depth.
• Position the crown level with the surrounding soil.
• Backfill with compost-enriched soil, firm gently and water thoroughly.
• Apply a layer of organic mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
• Space plants approximately 45–60cm apart.

Our live plants are packed with care and diligence by our staff, our horticulturists review each plant before despatch to ensure quality is maintained.
Live Plant delivery charges are not calculated on weight but on the space required per package to ensure safe delivery, so delivery charges may vary as some plants require more space than others when packed.
All live plants are despatched within 3-5 working days where possible, our couriers aim to deliver within 48 hours of despatch from our Garden Centre to allow the plant to arrive in healthy condition.

Our staff will contact you by phone when your order is ready for collection (Please allow 24 hours minimum). When collecting your item, call the store on 069-64084. We will then load into your car as required. This service is available in-store 9am – 6pm Monday – Saturday (No collections on Sundays)
