Overview & Features

• Convolvulus cneorum is a compact, evergreen shrub admired for its silvery foliage and bright white flowers.

• Produces masses of trumpet-shaped white blooms with soft yellow centres.

Planting & Positioning

• Plant in full sun for best flowering and compact growth.

• Requires well-drained soil and dislikes heavy, wet conditions.

• Performs especially well in sandy, gravelly, or chalky soils.

• Avoid planting in areas prone to winter waterlogging.

• Ideal for raised beds, borders, and coastal gardens.

• Dig a hole twice as wide as the rootball and the same depth.

• Plant at the same depth as it was in the container and firm gently.

• Suitable for exposed sites provided drainage is good.

Convolvulus thrives in warm, sunny, free-draining conditions.

Watering, Feeding & Flowering

• Water regularly during the first growing season to establish roots.

• Once established, plants are highly drought tolerant.

• Avoid overwatering, particularly in winter.

• Feed lightly in spring with a balanced fertiliser if soil is poor.

• Excess feeding can result in leggy growth and fewer flowers.

• Flowering occurs from late spring into summer.

• Full sun promotes heavier blooming and stronger silver foliage colour.

Good drainage and strong sunlight are essential for reliable flowering.

Pruning, Maintenance & General Care

• Lightly trim after flowering to maintain a compact, rounded shape.

• Avoid cutting back into old woody stems, as regrowth can be limited.

• Remove any dead or damaged growth as needed.

• Protect from prolonged winter wet and severe frost in colder areas.

• Mulch with gravel around the base to improve drainage and reflect heat.

• Generally low maintenance when grown in suitable conditions.

The in-Store delivery charge will vary compared with online, in-store delivery charge is done on a case by case basis.

Live Plants Delivery

Our live plants are packed with care and diligence by our staff, our horticulturists review each plant before despatch to ensure quality is maintained.
Live Plant delivery charges are not calculated on weight but on the space required per package to ensure safe delivery, so delivery charges may vary as some plants require more space than others when packed.
All live plants are despatched within 3-5 working days where possible, our couriers aim to deliver within 48 hours of despatch from our Garden Centre to allow the plant to arrive in healthy condition.
 

Click & Collect

Can’t wait for delivery? Why not try our FREE Click & Collect service? Simply make your purchase online and collect it from our store located in Croagh Co. Limerick. Our staff will contact you by phone when your order is ready for collection (Please allow 24 hours minimum). When collecting your item, call the store on 069-64084. We will then load into your car as required. This service is available in-store 9am – 6pm Monday – Saturday (No collections on Sundays)
