Leucanthemum 'Real Snowball' is a standout cultivar in the Shasta Daisy Realflor® series, celebrated for its fluffy, double white flowers with soft yellow centres and a neat, upright habit. Unlike traditional single-petal daisies, 'Real Snowball' features fully double, pompom-like blooms that resemble miniature snowballs—creating a fuller, more luxurious look in garden borders and floral arrangements.

Blooming from early summer through to late summer, this perennial provides a long season of interest. Its flowers are held upright on sturdy, well-branched stems that resist flopping, even in rain. Reaching 40–60 cm in height and 30–45 cm in spread, it forms a dense, clump-forming mound of rich green foliage.

Perfect for sunny borders, cut flower gardens, and containers, 'Real Snowball' offers classic charm with a modern twist, while also supporting pollinators with its nectar-rich blooms.

Leucanthemum 'Real Snowball' is easy to grow and reliable, thriving in sunny spots with well-drained soil. It requires minimal maintenance and delivers a strong, consistent display season after season.

• Light Requirements:

  • Prefers full sun for maximum flower production

  • Tolerates light shade but may produce fewer blooms

• Soil Preferences:

  • Grows well in moderately fertile, well-drained soil

  • Suitable for loamy, sandy, or chalky soils

  • Avoid heavy, poorly-drained or waterlogged soils

• Watering Needs:

  • Water regularly during the establishment period

  • Once mature, it is moderately drought-tolerant, but consistent moisture improves blooming

  • Avoid overhead watering to prevent fungal issues

• Feeding:

  • Apply a balanced fertiliser in early spring to promote strong growth and flowering

  • A light topdressing of compost or organic mulch can also be beneficial

• Deadheading and Pruning:

  • Deadhead regularly to prolong the bloom period and maintain appearance

Live Plants Delivery

Our live plants are packed with care and diligence by our staff, our horticulturists review each plant before despatch to ensure quality is maintained.
Live Plant delivery charges are not calculated on weight but on the space required per package to ensure safe delivery, so delivery charges may vary as some plants require more space than others when packed.
All live plants are despatched within 3-5 working days where possible, our couriers aim to deliver within 48 hours of despatch from our Garden Centre to allow the plant to arrive in healthy condition.

Can’t wait for delivery? Why not try our FREE Click & Collect service? Simply make your purchase online and collect it from our store located in Croagh Co. Limerick. Our staff will contact you by phone when your order is ready for collection (Please allow 24 hours minimum). When collecting your item, call the store on 069-64084. We will then load into your car as required. This service is available in-store 9am – 6pm Monday – Saturday (No collections on Sundays)
