-
Planting Time: Best planted in spring or autumn for strong root development before heat or frost.
-
Spacing: For hedging, space 60–90 cm apart; for specimen planting, allow more room to showcase its form.
-
Positioning Tips: Perfect for formal hedges, screening, windbreaks, or as a single ornamental shrub/tree.
-

-
Container Growing: Can be grown in large planters for patios or courtyards with regular feeding and watering.
Routine Care, Feeding, and Seasonal Maintenance
-
Watering:
-
Water regularly in the first year to establish deep roots.
-
Once established, water during prolonged dry spells.
-
Container plants need consistent moisture, particularly in summer.
-
-
Feeding: Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in spring to encourage strong growth and lush foliage.
-
Pruning:
-
Trim lightly 1–2 times a year (late spring and late summer) to maintain a neat hedge or shape.
-
Remove damaged, dead, or crossing branches at any time.
-
-
Mulching: Apply a 5–8 cm mulch layer in spring to help retain moisture and suppress weeds. Keep mulch away from the stem base.
-
Pest and Disease Resistance: Generally resilient but can occasionally suffer from leaf spot or aphids—treat promptly if needed.
-
Winter Care: Fully hardy in most climates, maintaining its evergreen foliage year-round.
-
Weed Control: Keep the base clear of competing weeds for optimum growth.
